I don't think any filmmakers want to label their films as remakes. Even when they are a remake they want that version to have its own identity. So I have no issue with them adapting the story yet retaining the same title. After all they have to put some surprises in there.

What ever happened to JC's The Thing remake? Not that I would particularly want one, it is after all a remake so it would seem a bit daft to have a remake of a remake but I just wondered if it was still going ahead or has it been dropped?

Don't mind when remakes are different to the original, shot for shot would be boring and pointless.

Not too sure lil lexie about "The Thing".I didn't even know there had been talks of a remake.Personally i don't think they should bother with a remake."The Thing" is a pretty good film & the special effects for its time are pretty good also.
