If he is missing one channel on one recevier, than it seems like a Bell issues to me. It may be time for a painful call to customer service.

A hit can only be done once every 30 days on the web site
If the channel is still not showing up maybe it needs a second hit which you could get done by calling the customer service. As soon as they hit it remove the smartcard wait until the verification goes 8/8 and then put it back in

Yes, Edge 102 FM is part of a package and it is NOT digital music. It's an FM station (aka analog radio) picked up by Bell ExpressVu for free and re-sold to you as part of Family 1 at $5 to $8/mth (along with some TV channels). Yes, it is delivered as a "digital tv station"; but that doesn't stop it being an analog radio signal in truth.
And it's not strange, it's just Bell ExpressVu.

I think it's just rediculous that BEV still doesn't support DishPro. I've got two cables running from the dish on the roof to 4 receivers to feed them all 91. If I were to upgrade the dish, I would only use dishpro, since I could keep the existing cabling. Otherwise, the *BEV* solution would demand I run two additional cables, since the feeds aren't stacked and 4 cables would be necessary to carry 91(L), 91(R), 82(L), and 82(R), instead of 91 (stacked) and 82 (stacked).

I'm missing some of the digital radio channels myself (in particular, 955 - 102.1 The Edge Toronto). It doesn't show up in red, it just doesn't show up at all. I re-hit yesterday, and I called in for a re-hit too... and still no change. What gives there?

With some of the challenges people report here getting accurate support, do you really thinks it's a good idea to introduce technology when the existing technology hasn't been adequately assimilated?

With the amount of training the CSRs are given they absolutely must keep the hardware / setup / install as simple, straightforward and limited as possible if they have any chance for survival.
However, with adequite training.........it could be a different story

Powered switches tend to be more reliable than unpowered switches, especially cascaded switches. That's because some receivers don't supply enough power to feed many switches+LNBs.
