Re cineworld : IS THIS LEGAL

It would very interesting to know what evidence you have to support your claims that ticket sales do not make enough profit. I am still waiting for your answer as to why there are more concessions at cinemas than in-house provision?

I would agree that whilst it is a rule that sucks about not allowed to eat and drink your own food, but surely you are allowed to take it in if as the OP was coming straight home from work. If the OP kept it in their back, what is the issue?

I would say I would like a free tap water in your case OP as aren't they meant to supply one?

They made a fortune on drinks and snacks on first day of harry potter film they were queuing in four line right down to escalators for popcorn drinks and other extortionate pricing:mad::mad:

I just walked in in my hanRAB with a cheese pasty and bottle of water and waved it at them and no one said a thing:D:D:D:D:D:D

There is a wider point here. Which is that companies need to be stopped from trying to bring in new conditions for customers that cause them loss or inconvenience, unless they are necessary and lawful.

not that i know these things but days f dodgy filming eg camcorder in screen are long gone the pirates have found better ways. and they have night vision in my cinema so why not wait for people to start record then arrest them as well?:confused:

Seeing as I already said this wasn't worth continuing further (and the fact that you've ignored everything else I've brought up) I don't see the worth.

You've run lots of successful catering businesses - against the statisitics I've given. No evidence has been provided to back up your claims. Just your word. Yet you ask me for more than you've given.

Now I don't blame you for that. It's the nature of internet forums. It's not like we can prove every statement we make. You haven't provided one ounce of evidence to back up anything you've said and I'm not going to waste my time digging up the proof you ask for now. (It's not like you asked for it earlier - its just that every prior point you brought up has been savaged to death and you've got nothing left)

I mean, its not like I haven't already explained how most of the money - obviously - goes to the people who MAKE the films, as opposed to the cinema. Why waste further time repeating myself? (it's easy enough to re-read the thread, after all)

But then I'm going to leave this on the basis that you actually aren't answering any of the points that have been brought up and instead shifting the conversation somewhere else (and hoping I wouldn't notice) - so as before, this can end here.

I'm happy enough that the OP - Elite Files - understood what I was getting at and I have better things to do than argue with someone who ignores everything I've previously posted; even when I've spent excessive time responding to the specific points you've brought up. If you can't accord me the same courtesy, I'll spend my time elsewhere.

PS. good luck to Elite Files. I hope you have a better time at the cinema when you go. One thing - I hope - we can all agree on is that staff should be polite and courteous to their customers, whatever the circumstances. Hopefully, you won't encounter anyone who is rude to you in the future.

PSS. I love it when someone responRAB to a long, detailed post with a one-line response, ignoring all the content of said post and stating something completely different. Its even mroe amusing when they've said I treat customers as stupid (previous post - look it up), when they are clearly assuming the posters on this forum are too stupid to notice them failing to respond to anything levelled at them.

I'd still like to know how Flyboy reconciles the two contradictory posts I quoted, but seeing as I won't be checking back, I guess I'll never know.

I think I'll live though ;)

Power crazed bastarRAB. SounRAB to me like they enjoy humiliating people. Probably makes up for the fact they're in a shit low paid job they hate.
There's only one thing for it - next time you go you MUST take a dump in the back row.

Right, but it's a Cinema, not a sweetshop. Pubs have cigarette machines, but they're expensive so most people bring their own. Restaurants serve wine, but they're often expensive so plenty of people will bring their own bottle to drink with their meal. Thus, your comparison is flawed and not applicable.

Well I don't, in fact well done to Cineworld. The OP was caught out and rightly so, it is them being so melodramatic and dragging the issue out that is coming across as negative.
