Hi. I am thinking of switching from Rogers to Bell so I can get RDS-HD. My only hesitation is reports of poor picture quality on this channel with Bell TV.

Does anyone know how Canadiens games look on RDS-HD with Bell TV, compared to hockey on TSN-HD or CBC-HD with Rogers or Bell? Thanks.

They look about the same. Too bad the Habs don't play the same as expected of them.:confused:

CBC HD & TSN HD are better PQ on Rogers - just the laws of physics - 15 Mb/sec data rate beats Bells reduced horizontal resolution with data rate under 12 (at the best of time)

Closest PQ on RDS HD to your Rogers PQ will be SC.

barrister,

You have the 10 days to try out the service. This way you can see it for yourself.

Thanks for your replies. After reading the thread on Bell's HD picture quality generally, I see that the complaints go way beyond RDS-HD.

While no one can predict the future, is Bell's HD PQ really expected to improve significantly in April, as some say? What will be happening then?

Rogers and Bell are the same PQ for CBC and TSN...dont worry! Ive seen them side by side on many occasions. Not sure what Mr. Perfect reduced horizontal resolution means?

I have been watching Habs games on RDS-HD on Bell for about a year now. I must say the PQ has improved over that time. It used to be for me, one of the worst stations for PQ. It still has a little catching up to be comparable to TSN-HD or CBC-HD but still looks good.
