Razr V3m problem... Need help!

Ok... I flashed it with the Cricket Monster and everything works....text, picture, calls....all that.

When I try to use P2K Tools VS...it freezes up and says the program is not responding. Tryed restarting my phone and computer and it still does the same thing.
I also tried unplugging the phone from the computer, starting P2ktools first then plugging the phone in. When I do this, P2K opens up just fine and works but the second I plug the phone in it freezes up.

Can anyone help me out? :)
 
P2KTools is very strange to say the least. The program is made for GSM phone and not CDMA. So therefore the program becomes very unstable and will freeze up when working with CDMA phones. Dont worry its nothing your doing wrong it just ther program it self and there is no way around this issue at the time. Hope that helped you out.

damn. im trying to put some ringtones on my phone right now because the ones that come on it are boring lol. i have tried all the internet sites that are supposed to send it to your phone.... but it does not work. i tried using MPT and it connects to the phone, but i dont have the option to transfer files.

any other way to get ringtones? maybe another program or something?
 
ok here is what you need to do go to hacktherazr.com there is a guid there for MPT it tell you how you connect everything and set it up so that you use the ringtones function. The guide is very easy to use and there are pictures to go along with it.
 
Option 1: I've not had a cdma razr but I have had a gsm razr. I also have a Dell Axim x50v. I've paired both them using bluetooth. I could then transfer ringtones to the audio folder on the razr from the axim.

Option 2: Go purchase a copy of Mobile PhoneTools. With that program you can transfer ringtones/videos/pics to and from your razr to your computer with a standard USB A to mini B cable.

With a CDMA phone the options of transfering ringtones picture and videos are locked. For the phones with CDMA you have to do a seem edit the set up MPT a certain way for those options to become avalible. CDMA and GSM phones are totally different and share nothing the same. Therefore some programs need to be tweaked or modified so that the programs can work with a CDMA phone. So just to correct your comment you can not just go out and buy the software and that will fix the problem. You MUST do a seem edit to set up MPT a certain way.

You know I am having the same issue now. Although mine locked up during the transfer of the updated seem to the phone and now the phone is bricked. I need to get it fixed. Someone said this Razr is gsm because it has a smartcard slot, but I've known MANY cdma phones that have smart card slots. The carrier that this phone was on, was a VERY small carrier, limited to one or two cities in one state, so it may very well be cdma. I don't know. I am gonna go check it out though.
