Razor, 6102, or something else?

Thinking about going to Cingular and need a good phone. Main thing is great reception, almost everything else is secondary. I want a flip phone with external caller ID and can be answered by simply opening the phone without having to hit another button to greet the caller. An alarm would be nice as well as being able to access the internet using a free WAP service. I do not care about text messaging or a camera, but the better quality phones seem to have them. I know that Motorola and Nokia have good quality, I'm not so sure about Samsung or LG. Any thoughts would be appreciated. My current phone is a V60i.

I have a RAZR that's awesome with reception, but some people haven't had as good experiences with them. Nokias usually are consistently decent phones. Once LG got past the awful C1300, they seem to have some better GSM phone offerings. Use the return period if whatever you choose doesn't work for you. Phonescoop.com has a lot of phone reviews which might help you decide.

The z520a blows the 6102 out of the water in every department, and the RF is just as good.

Best phone for the price right now is the Z520a from Sony Ericsson. Has bluetooth for easy wallpaper/ringer/theme transfer, 16MB onboard memory, Quad Band for world Roaming, MP3 ringtones, great RF, SE UI, but doesn't have EDGE for higher speed WAPing but neither does the RAZR.

I'd go with the RAZR for $99.99 first, second choice would be the Z520a for $69.99, third choice would be the Nokia 6102 for $29.99. All these phones get good reviews for the features you want. The V60i you have now was a good phone for it's time, I had a V60t and really liked that phone. The closest phone that I have found that I like as much as my old V60t has been the RAZR.

I second that. If reception is your main concern. DEFINATELY go with RAZR, not that the other 2 a bad at all, but I have NEVER had one of my RAZR's drop a call, and I live out in a very rural area.

i third that! the razr is the best looking out of all of them, then the 6102 in my opinion looks better than the z520a and its ugly new best friend the w600i
