sport.. who agrees? tim sylvia has never been knockedout in 10 seconds till he met a former heavyweight BOXING champ in ray mercer.. 10 seconds! that should shut the cocky mouths of these mma nut crackers ... opinions bout this subject..

Have you seen Ray in K-1??the world's best Kickboxing organization??
He did quit!
In an interview he said "i am a boxer ,these guys kick in the head ,using their knees, they crazy"
Congratulations to the dude who post da videos!
when i saw ray vs Remy Bonjasky i felt shame for being a boxing fan no joke.
Did you see him vs Kimbo Slice??
I mean he lost to Kimbo lol
We all know Tim is trash now,let him fight with Cain Velasquez ,Brock Lesnar,Frank Mir or Fedor ;)You don't wanna do dis ;)

A 48 year old former heavyweight boxer knocked out a 33 year old former heavy weight mma fighter in an MMA FIGHT in 8 SECONDS.

I wanna see more boxing vs mma fights first because this one just went too fast.

As long as the boxer can land a punch standing or on the ground I give the boxer the advantage because of how hard they can punch.

MMA fighters cannot stand and trade punches on a level that boxers can. They just don't have the chins, or conditioning.

People think the UFC/WEC etc are so great, but the fans show up and boo because all they do is circle eachother for half a round, throw a few punches (sloppy) and end up on the floor, then roll around with eachother whilst the crowd boo's. The crowd then cheers when the ref gets them to stand up, then a few seconds later they're back where they were.

Boxing better and effective? No doubt.

Disagree mate.

It doesn't show that Boxing is better than MMA, it just shows that Tim Sylvia must be a really really SHlT fighter !

I love Boxing (Mike Tyson and David Tua !) but it aint better than MMA.
Floyd Mayweather back down a fight to Sean Sherk.

Are you really Hawaiian, I'm Samoan / Tongan.

I didn't see it but Tim Sylvia was always an overweight, one-dimensional MMA fighter. He had limited boxing skills but was able to KO other MMA guys with even more limited boxing skills. Very few MMA guys could beat a boxer in the boxing ring & I rather think there are very few boxers (Mercer included) who can make the transition to MMA successfully. They are different sports with different skills required.

Age seems to not diminish MMA guys as much as in boxing because a guy can get his face pounded for long periods of time & he can still win by submission or get lucky somehow.
