As bad as this episode was, I rather would had this as the last episode broadcast. It would have served as a much better conclusion than anything.

Wow, so ironically, this dub made it better. I prefer him dying out of shame for running away like a coward as opposed to some cliche "you're such a babe Elie, I the worthless mascot will sacrifice myself for you!" Of course, I'm sure they played up the drama in the original version too, but still.
