There's a thread about The Friday 13th Series, and i believe the Halloween Series is far more intresting and better.

Halloween (1978) - Probally one of the best early horror films EVER, it's really a great film to watch. It has that hint of humour by Lauries frienRAB and the horror itself is quite (and may i say so disturbing). Where Michael's just staring at Pauls body as if he is proud is kind of disturbing. The Part where Michael is behind the bush is also a brillant scene.

Halloween 2 - Brillant Sequel, although to long. I liked how it continued and on the same night. Some classy deaths and this one proves that virgins really are lucky when it comes to be attacked by a masked killier.

Halloween 3 - Shit

Halloween 4 - I like the direction they went with this film, bringing laurie back film after film would have just been boring but the link between the new characters added to the story and series itself and michael. All though not as good as the other 2 its still a good watch.

Halloween 5 - It's okay, a tad boring in some parts and i don't like what they did with Jamie's character.

Halloween 6 - I would have liked to have seen Jame in it for longer, new characters weren't needed really. I like this one because of the information it told us about michael but bar the 3rd one its the worst one of the series.

Halloween H20 - Atcully Pretty Damn good. Although its a bit predictable in the sense its high school kiRAB getting stalked in high school areas at a party etc it still had some brillant moments.

Halloween Ressurection - I like it as a movie but in the sense of the series i think it was needed. I would have liked Laurie to live on.

Halloween Remake -Probally one of the best remakes i've seen. It lacks the scary moments of the original but what it gives is the story behind Michael which i enjoy. I think it captured the orignal very well and gave the film something new but it did get a bit stupid that everyone had sex seconRAB before they died.

Halloween 2 Remake - Could have been a great film, but it was okay i guess. It's watchable and rather cheap. The problem is the idea behind the movie is excellent and it could have been such a better movie if it was thought out more, butit wasn't and therefore ruined in the process.

Halloween
Halloween H20
Halloween 2
Halloween 4
Halloween 5
Halloween 6
Halloween Resurrection
Halloween remake's sequel - not a remake of Carpenter's Halloween 2.
Halloween remake

That's the order I put them in, but I can't stand Zombie's versions, hence the bottom.

I only own Halloween, and H20, only ones I really like.

I actually like Halloween III. Yes it has no connection with Michael Myers, but a good story. This is the problem whereby people say it's $hit.

I like the fact that John Carpenter recycles his actors in many of his films including Tom Atkins, Charles Cyphers, Jamie Lee Curtis etc etc...

For me, the original Halloween and H20 are great movies. Not a fan of the Rob Zombie versions and believe that the rape scene in his first move is really not necessary plus too much swearing in them (not that swearing bothers me) - just too much of it. The first film was good in the way it explained more about the Michael Myers character and in the way he had a breakdown and went mad.

1.Halloween(original)
2.Halloween 2(original)
3.H2o
4.Halloween(remake)
5.Halloween 2(remake)
6.Halloween 4
7.Halloween 3
8.Halloween 5
9.Halloween 6
10.Halloween Resurrection

Was Resurrection the one based around a reality TV show with Tyra Banks and Busta Rhymes? That was totally $hite.

1. Halloween (original)
2. H20
3. Halloween III (Creepy story, really quite scary in places)
4. Halloween II (the hospital was a good location)

Zombie's versions sucked for me, taking away all the mystery of Myers made him far less scary. The rest also sucked.

Halloween (1978) - An American classic; it's cinematographically groundbreaking, extremely well paced and very well acted. Two main characters,Dr Loomis and Michael Myers, are particularly memorable.Only negated by the hundreRAB of clones it inspired, especially it's own sequels.

Halloween:H20 - Jamie Lee puts in a superb performance in what is essentially a very human story mixed alongside a 7th in franchise slasher movie cashing in on the Scream phenomenon! The gore is wisely toned down a great deal compared to it's franchise predecessors.

Halloween 4 - Strictly by the numbers 80's slasher movie, just better made than most and very entertaining.Pleasence puts in another excellent performance and 11 year old Danielle Harris makes for an adorable heroine.Nice shock ending too.

Halloween (remake) - Everybody hates it,but I liked it.Despite featuring a well worn plot,Zombie did give it something extra by making it a kind of realistic biopic of an iconic screen killer.Still, there are numerous flaws, such as no likeable characters and unnecessary swearing, but perhaps that is a link to the messed up world of Michael Myers?

Halloween 5 - The script is obviously rushed, some elements are too ludicrous for the Halloween universe and the direction is bland. However, there is more plot and the main performers give their all despite the lack of material to work with. The ending is an unnecessary set up to another sequel.

Halloween 2 - Not keen on this at all.The gore is cheap, nasty and exploitive. The movie looks and feels like a clone, rather than a sequel. The twist is fairly silly, obviously a rip off from the Empire Strikes Back.Best thing about it is the classy performers - Jamie Lee and Donald.

Halloween 6 - It's a notable product of film making hell! The storyline is creative and interesting and the acting is fine, but it's obviously suffered from many disagreements during production. The sad death of Donald during production sinks the released film into straight to video type fodder. The directors cut is barely any better.

Halloween 2 (remake) - I liked the idea of Laurie becoming like Michael, but the directing is all over the place. At least there was some heart and inspiration, but that's about it.

Halloween:Resurrection - The reality TV plot is quite neat but the script is totally half hearted and boring. The performances are wooden and unmemorable, and the inclusion of Busta Rhymes makes the movie too gimmicky. The first 10 minutes are quite good though.

Halloween 3 - It starts out ok,but soon descenRAB into 80's nastiness made on the cheap. The core idea of an evil toymaker is always interesting; the problem is the storyline gets sillier, more predictable and more laughable as it unfolRAB.Memorable only for THAT headache inducing tune.

Halloween (1978) - 10/10
Halloween II - 8/10
Halloween III - N/A (Never seen it)
Halloween 4 - 7/10
Halloween 5 - 4/10
Halloween 6 - 6/10
Halloween H20 - 9/10
Halloween Resurrection - 2/10
Halloween (2007) - 3/10
Halloween II (2009) - 0/10 (seriously, worRAB cannot describe how awful i thought that film was, everything about it was awful, and the dialogue was hilariously bad: "baby, baby, no f*ck, baby don't f*cking die, baby, f*ck, f*ck", lather, rinse repeat for 90 minutes...).

The first Halloween movie was brilliantly atmospheric and scary: the others just cheap imitations that demeaned the original and eschewed the subtler passages that heightened the atmosphere of the original and threw the shock moments into sharp relief.

Im going to piss people off with my order.

Halloween 4
Halloween 5
Halloween 6
Halloween (orignal)
Halloween (Remake)
Halloween 2
Halloween h20
Halloween 8
Halloween 3

Havent seen the newer halloween 2 film.

I loved the series through 4 - 6 more then the orignal... dont know why?

Halloween (1978) - 10/10
Halloween II - 4/10
Halloween III - 6.5/10 (different and the song gets in your head :D )
Halloween 4 - 7.5/10
Halloween 5 - 5/10
Halloween 6 - 6/10
Halloween H20 - 7/10
Halloween Resurrection - 3/10
Halloween (2007) - 3/10
Halloween II (2009) - 0/10 - lasted about 30mins of this tripe before switching it off

Halloween 4 was abit of an under the radar decent horror movie, i'll have to watch it again soon.

Halloween 1 - Is really as good as people say it is.
Halloween 2 - The choice of the sequels.
Halloween 3 - I know everyone hates it but it's extremely original, and horribly gruesome. And getting rid of Michael Myers was a good idea because there's only a couple of tricks that pony can do in a franchise known for suspense over gore in a genre that competes on gore.
Halloween 4 - Surprisingly suspenseful for a late 80s slasher, and the twist ending brings the story full circle. Shame they botched it in the next movie.
Halloween H20 - Nice to see Jamie Lee back, although frankly it pissed all over everything that had gone before it by retconning the story, snuffing Jamie out of existence, dropping the Celtic stuff that had made the previous entries interesting, and generally making no apology for being a bog standard post-Scream slasher movie.
Halloween 5 - Marginally better than Halloween 6 because it's actually coherent.
Halloween 6 - The reshoots, rewrites and redits really show.

Halloween: Resurrection and Halloween (remake): Abortions.
Halloween 2 (remake): Has the dubious distinction of being one of the few films I turned off halfway through.

1. Halloween (original)
2. Halloween 6
3. Halloween 2
4. Halloween (remake) - surprised I've got it so high :o
5. Halloween 4
6. Halloween 5
7. Halloween H20
8. Halloween Resurrection
9. Halloween 3 - dislike it so very much!

Haven't seen the Halloween 2 remake.

I would say Halloween, then H20,Resurrection,then 3 then 2,4,5 and 6. Most interesting thing about 6 was it featured an early appearance from Paul Rudd and it was Donald Pleasance's last film I believe. And Halloween 3 is v underrated IMO

Halloween
Halloween 2
Halloween 2 - sequel to zombies first not a remake :D (Yes you read it right, i like that film better than his first lol, such a missunderstood film)
Halloween (remake)
Then:
3
4
6
5
Resurrection
H20

I've been a fan of the Halloween franchise for sometime now.Back in 2008 i went to Pasadena in California for the 30th Anniversary convention for Halloween.Got to meet a whole load of actors from the various Halloween films.

Halloween (original),Halloween II (1981) & Halloween 4 are good films

Halloween 5 & 6 are poor sequels

H20 is alright

HR is bad.

Rob Zombies version of Halloween & Halloween II i thought were rubbish

H3 is actually not a bad film

Your thinking of H6.H5 has no producers cut.

Supposedly it was gonna be in 3D but i think that idea got scrapped,no word if Scout will return as laurie but i know Zombie wont b back.

I think Zombies Halloween remake was terrible.

And I say that as someone who liked House of a Thousand Corpes and loved Devils Rejects.

I wouldn't be surprised if Zombies remake has killed of the franchise and will need to be "rebooted" all over again.

Not that it should have been "rebooted" in the first place.
