Rate films as you see them...

Million Dollar Baby - 9/10 The best film this year bay far.
House of Wax - 3/10 Very predictable and utter pants.
The Decent - 6/10 Thought this film was going to be crap by the first 5 mins, but turned out to be quite a good film

Star Wars 111 Haven't seen any of the others! The film was a little hard to follow in places. But looked fantastic on screen 7/10
Finding Neverland Great period Drama very interesting. Looks okay on screen. Fantastic storytelling 8/10

Apres Vous (on dvd) - 8/10. I'll watch anything with Daniel Auteuil in it. He must be my fave French actor going back years.

Walk the Line - 9/10. My parents were Johnny Cash fans so my babyhood was filled with that type of music. Brought back memories. I liked the movie a lot.

Jarhead - 7/10. I like war movies. This one was okay to pretty good although I dont quite know what the complete storyline was supposed to be about.

Pride & Prejudice - 9/10 I loved this film. I liked the cinematography, the visuals, the costumes and practically everything else. I am not a true Jane Austen officianado, and I understand there are those who find some fault with this latest version, but I liiked it. Matthew MacFadyen is a hottie. Must find what else he was in. Although I still believe there is only one true Mr. Darcy and that is Mr. Firth.

Creep - Nowhere near as clever as it liked to think it was. Wooden acting, and a terrible script. Only decent character in it was Creep himself, and he was given painfully little in terms of backstory or action. Waste of my time that film!!

Mrs Henderson Presents

I saw this last Sunday and I thought it was excellent. Very funny and also poignant. Judi Dench was in her element as Laura Henderson the owner of the Windmill Theatre and Bob Hoskins was a great foil for her barbed comments. 9/10

The song and dance numbers were very much in the period in which the film was set. Will Young was a wonderful song-and-dance man and his small role fitted in the film very well. 9/10 (would have been 10/10 but he wasn't in it enough - some critics say he was 'under-used')

The scenes when the war started were handled well although the CGI was a little odd. Kelly Reilly is a lovely girl and acted her part very well. 8/10

The "nude" scene? Well, if you blinked you would have missed it. Bob Hoskins gets 10/10 for courage! :) Will gets 11/10! :D However, the girls are naked for much longer perioRAB. :o

A History of Violence - Saw Preview at weekend.
4/10. Starts out great, gets Really ridiculous. I ahve actually seen worse, but it could have been great, which is disappointing.

Crash - upsetting, unsettling, makes you feel icky about the World, asks more questions than it gives answers, very thgouht provoking. A must see. 9/10

In My Fathers Den - great story, acting, good twist. 7/10

Sin City - 9/10 -awesome, atmospheric, cool, great story!!

Batman begins - 8/10 - Dark, funny, cool, great effects graphics, surprisingly enjoyable.

War of the WorlRAB - blockbuster entertainment. Better than expected 7/10

Downfall - chilling, bleak, claustraphobic, but a must see. 8/10

BATMAN BEGINS: 7/10: Well done, dark, effective, but felt a tad long. Kinda feels like the film has three stages or episodes

SIN CITY: 6/10: Wasn't expecting to like it but loved it. Very different, in a good way

HOUSE OF WAX: 4/10: Felt like i had seen this type of thing over and over again, very tried and tested formula

THE AMILYVILLE HORROR: 5/10: Better than house of wax for psycological horror (which i like) But still feels too familiar

I believe the child made her realise that she couldn't let go of her ex-husband, and the realisation that he really was now gone with her new marriage. She goes down to the beach, cries and that's her back on with her life.

I think it might be that simple, and one of the main reasons the film was so weak. Try the IMDB boarRAB, there's always someone with a theory there. :)

I'm gonna start TV and Box Sets in here too, as the good ones are pretty much a film a week these days. :)

Nip/Tuck season 1 - 9/10 - More sensational US drama. Lurid and brilliant. Can't have 10, because season 2 was even better, and the box set is out in a week. :D

Firefly - 8/10 - Joss Whedon outdoing himself once again. What Star Wars wishes it could be.

I saw Hide & Seek yesterday & I too was disappointed. It was let down by the plot which just got really silly. I found the little girl (Dakota Fanning) pretty irritating in this role & kept wondering how she could stare for so long all the time without blinking. I rate it 3/10

Spanglish - 2/10. Dull, dull, dull. Adam Sandler was great in a serious role but as for the rest of the film....a major disapointment.

Hulk - 2/10. This could have been one of the best comic book films of all time but I just found this to be one major letdown. It had good actors, an excellent director, but the whole film did not gel together.

Catwoman - 5/10. Not as bad as everyone made out but I would not watch it again in a hurry. Halle Berry is fine eye candy though ;)

Assault On Precinct 13 - 8/10. There was no need for a remake (can't think of anything original now Hollywood?) but this was very good. An enjoyable action thriller.

Meet The Fockers - 7/10. Enjoyable comedy, well worth a watch.

Taegukgi - 10/10. Awesome war film about two brothers fighting in the Korean war and the elder brother signs up to every mission going so he can get his younger brother back home.

Welcome To The Jungle
- 7/10. Cool action film with The Rock who has what it takes to be the new action hero. Although it has that little annoying idiot Sean William Scott (who I detest), the film was very entertaining.

Full Contact
- 9/10. Incredible action film starring Chow Yun-Fat. Deserves its 18 rating, full of bloody battles but definitly worth watching.

Toolbox Murders 8/10 Most scary horror film ive seen in years, was really edge of seat stuff.

Phantom of the Operah 2/10 Boring, crap musical, I didnt really bother watching all of it
