Rate films as you see them...

Alien vs Predator - 1/10. How to take a possible money making franchise and ruin it in less than two hours. Take a bow Paul W.S. Anderson!

Falling Down - 6/10. A great idea which starts off brightly but enRAB up falling flat in the last half hour.

Amores Perros - 8/10. One of the best foreign films I have seen for a long time. Incredible acting, script and the type of film that makes time fly by.

I'd give 'War Of The WorlRAB' 8/10. It was much scarier that I thought it was going to be, and Tim Robbins was truly unnerving, but it had a shockingly bad ending. Just kind of stopped. Having said that, I did prefer the film to the book, which as an English teacher, it is practically blasphemous for me to say!

Shall We Dance (Richard Gere & Jennifer Lopez). I give it 8/10. Enjoyed it but ending is cheesy:rolleyes:

Batman Begins I give it 9/10. Quite different from the previous Batman's - more 'realistic'. I really enjoyed this one.:)

Birth (Nicole Kidman) Give this 0/10. Utter rubbish, plot doesn't make sence. Waste of time. No point! Don't bother!

what an informative post..thank you for that..

i'm certain that in the 'version' i saw, sean young's walk
lasted for several seconRAB. she started off as a small
figure in the distance and took ages to walk to the camera
i recall telling family and frienRAB about the scene at the time
but when it was shown a week later it was shortened :(
they never got to see it..

i've never forgotten the impact of that entrance

Kitamura's VERSUS (B'day present) very strange film appears to have a story line which then disappears completely and then sort of reappears in a twisted form towarRAB the end , some good points , scores well on wierdness 6/10

Oh and I watched Alien Vs Predator recently Boooooring!!!!!
Shame as I love the original Predator and Alien films ....totally missed opportunity.... 3/10

Sin City - 9/10 - fantastic, groundbreaking with some excellent performances.

Fantastic Four - 7/10 - No brainer, popcorn movie with great special effects. Really enjoyable.

Batman Begins - 7/10 - Maybe I am biest being a Batman fan, this was the best one yet, truer to the Comic and wonderfully dark.

Garden State - 7/10 Better than I thought it would be, v funny and nicely paced, bit of a cheesy ending

Layer Cake - 5/10 Seems more sophisticated than your average british crime thriller, but just the same gangster rubbish underneath.

Mean Creek - 9/10 Excellent film about American teenagers who try to teach a local bully a lesson, but it all goes wrong. Highly recommended.

Tropical Malady - 9/10 Really weird film in two parts, but still has me thinking about it several days later.

Sin City - 9.5/10 - Comic book on screen. Brilliant. I've never seen anything as good as that in a long time. I will own it on Monday (when it is officially released in the UK).

Layer Cake - 8/10 - Very absorbing film. Daniel Craig is excellent in this. If you don't own it already, buy it! It's only

Land of the Dead

Thank the lord for George A Romero, showing how zombie films REALLY should be made. I jumped, I laughed, I cringed. So what if there's little storyline? Sometimes a no-brainer, gorefest is just what the doctor ordered!!!

8/10

I was expecting another Die Hard, what I got was a bland face-off with uncharismatic villains and boring good guys. A few firefights barely save it from being complete trash but some scenes are just laughably bad (e.g. the holy madonna scene). Perhaps old Brucie should spend less time picking up teenage girls, and more time picking decent scripts 4/10

twisted desire - 9/10 really good story also based on a real story!!
hitchikers guide to the galaxy - 1/10 boring i fell asleep!!
monster in law - 9/10 very funny!!
the good girl - 6/10 good story but their accents are really annoying!!
hocus pocus - 9/10 its actually quite scary for a PG!!

Red Eye 6/10 - Pretty Ok thriller, Cilian Murphy isnt a very good bad guy, and its all a bit far fetched. And you'll forget it all five minutes after leaving the cinema, good fun though.

Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Were-Rabbit 10/10 - Drop everything and go and see it! It's great!

Mysterious Skin 10/10 - There's always one great American indie film comes out every year, and this is this years.
