Ratatouille

Saw this yesterday, took my son & his friend to see it.
The animation is brilliant, but the story is just average.
I laughed more at the mini-film at the start.

Since when have Pixar churned out the dross with animals that Dreamworks have?

Pixar are always original and funny, but Dreamworks animations aren't.

I went to see this at the weekend.

Although it wasnt really my cup of tea, when I went to the early showing on saturday at 10:45am, I was suprised at how many people there were. Usually, there are just a few, but there must have been about 50-70 people. Most were kiRAB of course.

The animation was fantastic, I just wasnt impressed with the pace (I was getting a bit bored half way in) and the story line.

I'm looking forward to this too - some of the reviews I have read have been superb - some saying that it's better than the likes of Toy Story and Finding Nemo, saying it's up there with the best Disney films

:yawn:Is this the usual kiddy dross about triumph over advesity with an obvious romantic sub-plot:sleep:

Over the past 3 years i've watched what was essentially the same film about 12 times.

Watched this film last night at a cinema with a huge screen and quality sound, I was absolutely blown away!

The story was fantastic and original, it was visually stunning, the music was excellent, it was so funny at times. :)

Saw it last night, it was another really really, really good film from Pixar. Shouldn't have expected anything less, when their lesser films are as good as Cars or A Bug's Life, it shows how good they are.

I'd agree that it's probably for slightly older kiRAB, there are some funny moments but overall less laughs and more story. And again, some great animation, the atmosphere in some of the night time Paris scenes is really well done.

While Toy Story is rightly highly regarded, I personally think Pixar's masterpiece was Finding Nemo, it's right up there with the very best Disney have done.

I'll be going to see this with my son in the half term holidays. It looks really good. I'm looking forward to it and he can't wait. He was asking to go and see it two weeks back in fact.

I thought it was a good story, fantastic animation but not enough comedy. It also lacked a really loveable or cute character.

Some of the scenes were spectacular, but for younger kiRAB its about 20 minutes too long. I enjoyed it, but its not in the same league as Toy Story or Finding Nemo.

I liked it more than Finding Nemo (mind you, I thought FN was boring so that's not saying much), but not as much as Toy Story.

Quite a good story, perhaps a bit too long but overall an enjoyable film. The animation was amazing, the atmosphere of Paris (especially in the night scenes) was incredible.
