A very good film, had the feel of a made for TV special but really well acted and very tense.

Day of the Pig - Middle Ages France - the locals put a pig on trial and the hero has to defend it in court.

has anyone seen the film, the music of chance ? it was a dvd i bought that i liked the sound of and its great

i also remember watching the shawshank redemption on tv years ago before i or anyone else had heard of it and it was great

also the saint of fort washington was another one which i stubled across on tv, its not available on dvd anywhere either for some reason??

what are yours ??

The Boondock Saints. I saw it in a DVD rental store and (having never heard of it before) I took a chance with it. It was quite good!

I really don't know if these are actually Rare, but very few if any of my frienRAB have see
Apt Pupil-Ian McKellan as a nazi War Veteran who is discovered by a neighbour. I thought it was quite good, and there is a bit where McKellen is given a full Nazi uniform and when he wears it he starts marching, and as he marches it becomes more and more intense and seems like he is possessed and it actually seriously creeped me out.

Also Election, Reese Witherspoon and Matthew Broderick, it got a mention when Mean Girls was released so I bought it, only

I like tons, but at the top of my head, last years Scanner Darkly didnt do so well at the cinema, but is great.

I will add some other films later...

spring & port wine is one that id stumbled across one afternoon on channel 4 years ago - only recently managed to get a copy :D

another movie i like that i havent seen for ages and ive forgot the name! (loaned my copy to someone who didnt give it back :( ) it starred gwyneth paltrow, and her character was living with her new husband at her mother in laws house. the mother in law kept trying to harm gwyneth..........sorry its vague, but can anyone remember what it was called?

I saw a film called Privileged at the cinema in about 1982 - remember it as being a sort of copy of Brideshead Revisited, about Oxford students and starring unknowns. Years later I discovered that among those unknowns were Hugh Grant (credited as "Hughie" Grant), James Wilby and Imelda Staunton. I'd love to see it again now that they have gone on to such great things, but as far as I can tell it never turns up on TV and isn't on video or DVD...

I was wondering if anyone could help me please.. I don't beleive that the movie is rare, but last year I watched a film with cher in it.. She worked at a nuclear plant and people we're falling ill from radiation, the only person willing to speak out about it was cher's house mate but the company had her killed at the end of the movie... Sorry about the very vague description, but that's all I remember about it.. Could someone please tell me the name of this film..

Thanks..

My better half keeps asking me to watch the Boondock Saints.

I recently picked up the brilliant but rare short movie Whistle and Ill come to you. Its a creepy black and white ghost story, there is something very unnerving about it.

Don't know if this one is rare but I got it out of the cheap section of our local BB - if you like Japanese samurai gangster zombie films then Versus is excellent. Lots of humour and really cool gun-play. And samurai sworRAB with laser sights! Wow! (Bit gruesome in parts)
Other ones that come to mind:
Toto the Hero (still unavailable on DVD as far as I know)
The Delicate Art of Parking - wonderful spoof documentary about traffic wardens - it's like watching a thriller!
They - brilliant low-key horror film with really creepy monsters, just like a kid's nightmare.

I remember catching that by chance on BBC2 one night - definitely worth watching.
Also, Manic with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, which was on Film4 a week or so ago.

Hi,I think you mean Hush which also starred Jessica Lange and the very photogenic Jonathan Schaech.Good film-Jessica Lange plays bonkers very well!

"Dont be Afraid of the Dark".

A chilling tv movie from about 1973.

It came out on VHS in the 80's but I recently discovered there was a R2 release in Japan ,the films only dvd release in the world,so I snapped it up

Hearts and Souls :( I can't watch it without crying!!! Usually I'm fine when I know what's going to happen but there is one part of this film that makes me cry no matter what!!! :)
