I added the HD Extra package to my programming. I receive all of the channels in the package except for Raptors TV HD. Both 852 and the new 1418 appear as not subscribed. Anyone else have this situation? I receive the SD channel 415. I called Bell and they sent a hit to my 2 receivers with no change.

Thanks!

I had the problem with some SD subscribed channels that were missing back in August. They tried hits on all three of my receivers several times and it never seemed to work. Then one of the people in Tech Support tried to delete all three receivers from my account and then re adding back to my account and this worked all my channels were back on all three of my receivers.

I had the same problem, it took them forever to resolve the issue. The last person I talked to said that they had to add it on the Raptors TV in HD seperately as it was not technically included in the combos. It's free, it's just a setting they have in their system. Next time you call, tell them that.

That's correct - I had exactly the same issue. The rep told me it was an opt-in part of the package (paraphrasing). So call back and specfically ask them to add Raptors HD to your package.

Thanks for your suggestions. I called Bell and asked to have Raptors HD added individually and that was all I needed to say. A few minutes later, 852 and 1418 came through.

This is strange. I recently signed up for HD essentials. Picked 4 HD theme packs including HD Sports (but not more More HD Sports). I also selected Sports 1 SD (but not Sports 2 SD).

Raptors HD was therefore, according to my interpetation of their literature, supposed to show up - it did not (only TSN and TSN2 require subscribtion in SD according to their literature).

I called, spoke to a supervisor. She said I need Sports 2. I said that's not what it say's. I pointed her to the documentation, she agreed that my interpretation was correct but, "that's not what her internal documents tell her." I told her since the customer can't see the internal documents it really doesn't matter what the internal docs say!

She added me on Raptors as an individual channel - charging me monthly. I will receive a credits on my bill to cover the cost over 24 months (term of my contract). After that I am on my own. She was very nice about it but I am now wondering, based on these posts, if there was a simpler and more long-term way of handling it! I have no doubt my bill will get messed up!

It's not an internal document at all. Not sure why she would have said that.

If you read the programming brochure, available at http://www.bell.ca/web/tv/en/on/pdfs/channels/channels.pdf, you can see the fine print (number 9 in the list), indicating that the channels in the HD Sports package are available "with subscription to packages containing associated digital channels". You've always had to have the SD to get the HD Raptors.

FYI: for $2.50 more, you could get the entire Sports 2 theme pack, if you're going from 6 themes to 7.

Although the pdf does say that you do need to sub to sports2 to get raptors HD, I think jakemtl is referring to another place on Bell's website where it definitely does show that you don't need sporst2 to get raptors HD.
(bell.ca, click tv, tv packages, ..., then look at the hd theme packs "HD Sports").

Its clear on that page that only TSN HD and TSN2 HD require you to sub to their respective SD channels.

I also called (about something else, mentioned this raptors issue). The CSR wouldnt give, but I didnt protest too much since I plan to get Sports 2 package soon anyways :).
