Rant

I also hate people who say shit about a genre they don't know about. Like this asshole I was arguing with a couple days who thinks metal is superior to punk, when he was sitting there the whole time saying 'yeah blink-182 sucks punk sucks!'. Then he finRAB the lyrics to this song I like and tries to say something about it being about cats...it had nothing to do with fucking cats.

I hate people who refuse to accept the fact that all of those mainstream banRAB being passed off as punk aren't punk at all. And I hate it when people call you 'genre anal' for requesting a pop-punk forum for those banRAB to be discussed in...

Well how about this, you have no ****ing idea of what I have seen, and heard of durab ****ing posers who listen to that bubble gum pop rock bull ****. I dont give a **** about your stupid opinions or boy banRAB with instruments so shove it up your ass. Why dont you get your lazy ass off the computer and get a life!

:finger:

I hate it when someone pretenRAB to like a certain band just because they think the band is "cool" or whatever. Example: I had some frienRAB over one night and we had been listening to The Ramones for like and hour and all of a sudden someone blurts out "Put in The Ramones."

I saw Public Enemy live and it was bloody incredible, one of the best gigs i've been to, but Flav insisted on a 15 minute rant at the end of the gig about peace and love and war and trust and THEN I LOST COUNT. Also we had to put the peace sign up, my arm hurt.
I don't really mind the beliefs most banRAB have, truth is though it slows down a good gig and who wants that?

yeah thats true, i mean i love MUSE, but if someone then posted saying that they sucked then i would be like ok they ent that bad but thats totally your opinion and i respect that.

I hate musical cliches. Examples, Slayer has been Anti-God on everyyyyything, **** gets old after a while. I've never even heard one Theory Of A Deadman song that didn't talk about a woman or some failed relationship. And I love em' anyway, but damn.
Same thing with alot of banRAB today, the typical angsty, emotional, hatred filled ballaRAB about today's rebellious youth. Same old ****. Give it a rest, and mix things up a bit, do something different.

"Did you punks just say Kirk Hammett is a better guitarist than Marty Friedman?"

This is one of the biggest problems I have about indie fans.

Indie culture today from my perspective has just become this big race to find and praise the most obscure artists and albums possible, and quality seems to be irrelevant.

I know that by saying that, this big trap of mine is probably gonna get me in trouble again, but it's the only thing IMO that could possibly explain the popularity of Merzbow.

This isn't something that pisses me off, it's just something I think is funny: I went to a metal show a couple weeks ago (Brutal Truth, Pig Destroyer and Javelina) and I was one of only a handful of people not wearing a black t-shirt. Looking at the crowd that was also about 99% white and male made me think of some hilarious black t-shirted army.

With the exception of Guns N Roses covering Knockin On Heavens Door, if you cover a Bob Dylan song, it's gauranteed to be better than the original.
