So, how would you rank the Family Guy seasons? Here's my rank:1. Season TwoThis season was fantastic. You start with the Mansion at Newport episode. That episode was great and features one of my favorite Stewie jokes. That season also have us the Y2K episode which features the first and best Chicken fight. There's also the first Death episode. Oh, and lets not forget when Peter gets in touch with his female side. Also...the reality show episode, Road to Rhoad Island, toad-licking episode, and Petoria. Overall, this season had MOST of the classics.2. Season FourI know most of you guys will disagree, but I loved this season. I love the Star Wars ending for the episode where Peter becomes blind. I love the first James Woods episode. I loved the PTV episode. And my favorite is the Peter-Stewie bonding episode. I'd rank that episode in the top 10.3. Season ThreeThis was a very strong season. You got the Weinstein episode. The "South" episode. And, my favorite, Stewie trying to kill his unborn brother.4. Season OneThe first season only had seven episodes, but they were great episodes.5. Season FiveThings started falling apart this season, but you still got some good stuff.6. Season SixThis season we got Blue Harvest and the Stewie Kills Lois two-part episode but everything else hasn't been as good as it should be.

Season 3 is at the top for being the only FG season with both strong jokes AND great character humor. This was when it really settled into it's own identity and it was a real shame it was canceled before they could continue on this path.

Season 2 is next for bringing stronger jokes than season 1 and being really unpredictable at times.

Season 1 was alright, but it was a bit too erratic and short to compare with the rest.

The rest kind of blur together with me, but FG never really had a STRONG season other than 2 and 3. Season 6 started out strong, but has really fallen apart. And the other seasons you'd have a great episode one week and a bad one the next. They're all about even to me.

I alternate between seasons 2 and 3, which both had a lot of successful outlandish and unexpected jokes. Though I will say I like the artwork/animation in season 2 the best. It seemed the most fluid and expressive, well, for Family Guy standards, anyway.

Season four seems disliked for some reason. That season had some great episodes. PTV, for example. How can you not like that episode. Remember the side boob joke and the FCC song? And the Peter-Stewie bonding episode is one my top 10 favorites. I love the Peanut Butter Jelly joke and when Lois is on the toilet and Peter and Stewie come in with the water hoes and the Temple of Doom joke at the end. C'mon. Good stuff.

At the tippy top is season two. You can't get better Family Guy than this. Screw S3's character development for the win, S2 FG was, nay, is some of the funniest television I've ever seen in my life. What's better is it made me crack up back then (when I was 14, 15), and it cracks me up even more now. Plus, it has the best episode of the series in it: "Road to Rhode Island". So much nostalgia with that episode, so much nostalgia.

Then you have Season 3, which is still funny, but loses some due to the writing skills becoming sharper in the character department. But, that's okay, because making your show and characters three-dimensional kicks butt! It's close, but S2 pretty much made me convulse in hysterics everytime when it came to the funny, so S3 must come in second.

After that, is of course, Season 1, which is only seven episodes long but it's a little weaker than what the rest of the pre-revival era has to offer us.

Next is Season 4. Hot off a revival, the first 35 episodes, for the most part, are pretty good. Not as good as S2, but close to S3, that's for sure. Unfortunately, around the end, some weaknesses start to form.

And then we get to Season 5. Oh, boy. The show begins to lose its edge. The storylines are sloppy and the characters start becoming cardboard cutouts. But the cutaways are there! So...many...cutaways. Like, two per minute! No, three! :(

...Season 6. Started out strong, as good as S4. "Blue Harvest" was inspired, so was the "Stewie Kills Lois" two-parter and I enjoyed the end of the Jillian story arc. Then the worst thing happens: writers' strike. Now, officially with "Former Life of Brian" (IMO, the worst episode of FG ever aired...so far ), the show has sunk to a new low. No longer does the spark exist. New episodes can happen but...oh my god, Family Guy is the new Simpsons. But, the Simpsons are still around, so how can Family Guy be the new Simpsons? Wait, does this make American Dad the new Futurama? I hope not, because that will end in morbid cancellation and I'll cry. At any rate, there you go, the Family Guy seasons ranked...

Season Three is my favorite season because it has so many episodes in it that just completely stuck with me over my childhood. I think this is the season that I finally started watching the show for the first time when I tuned into The Simpsons, and while I didn't 'get' a lot of it, I was entertained!
Season Four is my next favorite, because this is when Family Guy finally came back, and I was pumped for it (due to years and years of Adult Swim reruns). This is also the season that a large amount of show-changing things happened (it's first 'movie', Cleveland gets divorced, Peter becomes officially retarded, etc.)
Season Two is a classic season - tons of memorable moments here. Only problem is after a large amount of time watching reruns, these episodes have started to lose some luster for me. But the season provided a lot of expansion for some of it's characters - remember when Chris was an artist more then he was an idiot? Hmm... and Meg was just an awkward kid roughed around by life. Most of this season is very memorable to me.
Season Six, while it's not completely finished, is a favorite of mine just because FG is trying really hard to expand Brian as a fleshed-out emotionally charged character with a handful of episodes based on his life exploits. It also helps that two huge events (Stewie Kills Lois, Family Guy Star Wars) really amped this season to a memorable one. Most of the episodes I enjoyed this season were the specials and the Brian episodes.
Season Five was ok, but there were a episodes that I didn't care for, especially one that I consider the worst episode of Family Guy ever (Bill and Peter, just because the cheating angle killed Peter and Lois's relationship for me for a while. I was in an awful mood after that episode). Prick Up Your Ears, No Meals on Wheels, Meet the Quagmires, and Peter's Two Dads are episodes I really enjoy from this season.
Season One is the worst showing but still a neat season to look back on to see how far the series has come. My favorite episode of this season is Mind Over Murder, due to the intertwining of the plots that really pulled the entire family together in a very solid episode.

1. Season 2

2. Season 3

3. Season 1

Abysmal drop-off since then. None of the seasons after the "revival" come close to the first three.
