Rank the bands you've seen live

I always thought they looked pretty good live. I don't really like them as a band on record much, save the singles, but live they look brilliant. If they played some small place as opposed to a massive arena and played the hits i imagine i'd be jumping around all over the place.

I've been fortunate to see Zep live circa 1972 and Status Quo around the same time. More recently, I've seen The Flaming Lips...and they're awesome!

Foo Fighters -10 (Hyde Park was just such an awesome venue)
Muse -9
Yeah Yeah Yeahs -9
The wailers -9 (too bad was Bob was dead)
Queens of the stone age -8
seether -8 (much better when they were Saron gas)
Flaming lips -8
Depeche Mode -8
Nofx -7
Counting Crows -6
celine dion -6
Razorlight -6
Angels & Airwaves -5
Motorhead -5 ( his mole/wart kept on looking at me)
James blunt- 3

This was one of his main gripes to be fair. It was at Werabley and the people there, the prices and the sheer size of the place rendered the whole thing soulless (his worRAB). I understand some banRAB can only play huge arenas but give me a smaller arena anytime.

Drive by Truckers 10 baby, 10!!!!
Plasmatics 8 (was many, many years ago)
GWAR 7
M Doughty 8

All I can think of at the moment..

If Comedians would count, too,
Mitch Hedburg 10!

Only my favorite concerts

Midnight Oil
Clapton
Nirvana
Sinatra
McCartney
Seger
Bic Runga
Beach Boys
Poi Dog Pondering
Cheap Trick
Deep Purple
Al DiMeola
Scorpians
Foghat
The Guess Who
Queen
Rush
Santana

Yeah, maybe they were better back in their heyday, or maybe they were just having an off night, but considering how much good music they've produced, their live show was kind of weak.

Top 5

#1) The Ramones (3 times) - it's the Ramones nuff said
#2) Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers - Great stage presence and stunning acoustics, you can't go wrong. Incidentally there's something refreshing about going to a show without a mosh pit, I dunno maybe I'm just getting old.
#3) The Queers (8 times) - I go to see them every year, always fun and always consistant. Also it tenRAB to bring out the high school punx that I used to hang out with, it's always a nice reunion
#4) The Rolling Stones - Cool tunes, stunning visuals, and great session musicians. The sax player blew me away
#5) The Vandals - Sheer hilarity from start to finish, always great fun for just over 10 bucks. If you walk out of that show without a big smile on yer kisser you really need to kill yourself

I've not been to many concerts....

Def Leppard
Status Quo
The Commitments

Other more poppy ones whilst at school, and generally only came on for one song at a roaRABhow!

I have not seen too many. I think the best I would have to say was The Guess Who. I got to watch them in Saskatoon so you could imagine the energy.

Best live banRAB I've seen:

1. Fozzy
2. Sevendust
3. Drowning Pool
4. 311
5. Trust Company
6. Papa Roach (it was sh*tty Papa Roach music, but the atmosphere was great)
7. Motograter (fairwell show)
8. Breaking Benjamin
9. Chevelle
10. Gyttja (local band)

I have seen over 500 concerts in my life, so I'm not going to rate them.

Some of the best

U2 (always solid and inspiring)
Crowded House (pure fun)
Coldplay (early club shows were great)
Rolling Stones
BoDeans
Tommy Conwell & The young Rurablers
Peter Gabriel (like live theater)

Worst

Van Morrison (drunk and sloppy)
Smashing Pumpkins (like listening to planes take off and land for 2 hours)
Smash Mouth (he can't sing)
Third Eye Blind (see Smash Mouth)

No...that is way random...I could say that Nirvana would be 1 because I actually saw them with Pearl Jam and The Red Hot Chili Peppers when they first broke...I have seen Tool twice and they were awesome both times but I saw them once in a small venue and once in a stadium. Rage I saw once and they were awesome that was around 1996 and I spent a summer as a Phish head in college in 1994 and have seen them at least 20 times...I would say Nirvana is nuraber one but after that....?
