A couple of guys on here that know me better than most have heard me talking about working on my bike. Well, today I decided to start taking a few pics before I get it all cleaned up, preped, painted and on its way back to being a gnarly beast.

I've put together a few photos of the bike so y'all can see what I'm working with. It's a BMF and I've got a couple grand worth the parts ready to go on it.

yea but not where i can easily upload yet, i'll do it later :P its black/silver without many hop up parts yet other than forward controls. looking to buy a nice engine guard and hiway pegs but no luck yet :P
 
I get everything on ebay or a few different catalogs. Really ebay is the place to go. I got pretty much everything there.

-Chrome forward controls
-Chrome handlebar xontrol set w/buttons, switches and harness
-Generator
-Rebuild gasket kit
-Clutch disks and kevlar friction plates
-Primary chain tensioner kit
-Chrome bullet lights (2 red, 2 araber)
-Crhome mini bullet lights (2 red, 2 araber)
-Rear light bar w/3 red lights
-Complete dash kit for fat bob tanks w/ speedo and ignition

Much more and too much to remeraber.

Soon to get:
-Alternator conversion kit (just found out I could add this)
-Double headlamps (at least 5-1/2 inch)

*edit* I just looked on ebay and you can get the two piece engine guard for $120 "buy it now" and the one piece for $160 "buy it now" so I'd bet you can get it a little lower on auction. I didn't really do any searching, but I find my stuff pretty cheap compared to the "buy it now" prices.

Let me know if you need help finding anything. I love to shop for bike parts. That's why I'm behind in all my classes. All I do in class is shop on ebay for my bike. lol
 
mad nice bike.... btw lol i turn 18 when i graduate im getting a sick bike like that i already got my cycle liscense... lemme tell u alot easier than drivers test
 
you should start with something small and inexpensive like a sporty if you want a harley...

if not, then there are so many good street bikes to choose from i couldn't even begin to list 'em...

if you want a cruiser that is not a harley, then you may want to look into a honda...they make a good anything, from bike to car to leaf blower...

heres my road star, just bought it in july/aug so i don't have much done to it yet.

what a deal...

i've got about $4,000 into mine, but a lot of work as well and more to go...

mine will never be as comfy as yours, but i'm definitly leaving the struts off and reinstalling shocks...i'm not the rigid, hard tail kinda guy...i wanna keep my kidneys from bouncing outta my bum...lol

bike is almost done

i have to pull the carb and replace a diaphragm before i can get fuel to it

i also need to add a couple of fuses to the wiring...will run w/o them, but they should be there for protection

then it will be all done

i will put pics up as soon as i get it finished

this has been in the works for about 9 months...lol
 
Just finished (95% resto) my latest conquest today. A 1974 Schwinn Hollywood. All original equipment, down to the bearings. Its a killer ride. I'll post pics tomorrow.
