Random sharp pain in throat down by jugular notch (trachea)?

I've had this off and on for awhile now, and at the moment I do not have insurance, so havn't seen a doctor yet. It is a random sharp pain in the bottom of my throat at the jugular notch. Nothing I do provokes it, except going out into the cold air, beyond that it just happens randomly. It is not excruciating, just feels like a slight sharp pain. I can't find anything online close to it, so I thought I would post and see if someone mite know what it is. Thanks.

i have the same thing, but like you said, nothing on the internet like it.

for me, its not a daily occurrence and i haven't seen any regular triggers yet, although it did happen twice today.

i'm in canada, so when i have time i'll go to the doctor (free healthcare, the only real benefit of socialism, yay) and i'll try to let you know
