Random question about Mexicans crossing the border without inspection....?

Maybe my first question should be "Is it just as possible to creep across the border back into Mexico as it was to come to the US from Mexico?"I know this doesn't happen very much(if it does happen at all), but what do you think?

I ask this because...
Hypothetically speaking, say a Mexican couple, man and wife illegally cross the border without inspection. The couple carry on as "normal", find work, survive and maybe even thrive for many, many years, have kids etc. What if, during the course of those years any of the scenarios take place:

--a kid of theirs that they left back home in mexico(previous to them coming to the US) becomes legal resident then citizen of the US...

--their baby that they birthed here in the US turns 21

....is it possible for them to cross back into Mexico WITHOUT ever being noticed on the way out(same as on the way in), thus, leaving them the opportunity of being petitioned as an immediate relative and then returning to the US as LPRs?

Kinda far fetched, but just curious....
