Rand Paul says he wants to repeal Civil Rights

The problem with having Ron Paul as a father is that you're never taught how to actually play the game of politics.
 
Because it's a loaded question. Knuckle dragging mouth breathing drooling faggots like you hear that he wants to repeal the CRA and immediately assume it has something to do with racism. So he wants to say, "Yeah, repeal it," but can't say that because the majority of people are fucking stupid and won't be able to understand why.


In reality, he's likely against the CRA (I'm assuming we're talking about the 1964-ish one) not because of the good parts of the act, but because of the parts that are in violation of property rights.

I haven't watched the video or read the article. So the question of why he won't answer might be answered better in one of those. The above is just my assumption.
 
That seems to pretty much be it. He uses the example of bringing guns into a bar as a counter example. To use that example, he points out that to be consistent, if a state doesn't disallow people from bringing guns into a bar, then the barowner perforce can't discriminate by posting a sign saying "no guns here".

He pointed out very accurately that it's strictly an intellectual argument, not a political one. The political side makes stupid comments like "Rand Paul says he wants to repeal civil rights". Strictly sound bites.

I'm also not convinced this will hurt him in Kentucky anyway.
