and Rand wasn't smart enough to tell her to fuck off. Any sane individual would have seen that coming.

What's funny is that Obama actually won the only two counties that contain anything that's even remotely like a real city in KY during the elections.

So he's basically saying "Backwoods Appalachian Mountain rednecks don't like black democrats"

Well no fucking shit...

edit: and those two counties were enough to get 41% of the state population for Obama.

god i hope they nominate sarah palin. i'm not saying i'd vote for obama, but tina fey doing palin on SNL for like a year at least is pure comedy gold.

I hate that politics in the US has become a game of swinging people's emotions.

THIS EYE DOCTOR WANTS TO LOWER OUR TAXES??? RAND PAUL 2K10!

rand isnt good at explaining his positions. Ron has a great way of getting the discussion back to the real philosophical issues while rand blabbers in the same verbiage as many other politicians.

I wish Rand wouldn't have dodged the question like he did. He should have just said, "Racists will make it so black and other minorities can't enter their business, and people who don't agree with that will no longer support them with their money, causing them to lose their jobs or go back to not discriminating. Hence, there wouldn't be many places with discriminatory policies unless the population that visited such places were racist themselves."

The whole state is basically Republican, save Jefferson Co (Louisville) and Fayette Co (Lexington). This has always been a strong Republican state.

I've been looking at various campaign donors tonight on opensecrets.org

Texas donated $57,650 and California donated $72,300 to Jack Conway.

One trend I notice is that there are a LOT of attorneys that donated to Jack Conway. And then finance/investors, writer/artist types. And that is about it.

Texas donated $164,477 and California donated $100,458 to Rand Paul

I see a whole lot of technical professions; engineers, inventors and programmers. Also self employed, small business owners, military. I also see more doctors/dentists giving to Rand. Even some guy from the US Securities and Exchange Commission

That is some interesting information right there. Rand Paul donors are a much more diverse group of people...more common folk.
