That's true but you have to remember that primary voters are usually much different than general election voters. They're much more enthusiastic and die-hard, they're not your average voter. So in a republican heavy state like KY, you're gonna expect the minority party to be much more active and vocal, so that's probably why the Dems got more primary votes. Your average general election is voter in KY is probably going to be a Republican.
