ran wrong steps now on drc83 dev

Hi all,
I was following some steps this morning on how to update to the latest Cyanogen and missed the step about the updating of the recovery console. Well I ran the HTC original dev DRC83_base_defanged.zip as per the instructions, and now I can't run any updaters and I don't get a # in terminal.

when I try and do an update I get a blue and yellow Android system recovery page and it always says "Installation aborted" without a reason. I have always had a "E:can't open /cache/recovery/command" so that has not concerned me.

I tried to follow along with some posts on this problem, but the posts I found did not have a lot of description/easily followed.

I can normally follow instructions so this is my fault, and I have spent many hours so far trying to fix it, but it seems I can't run much.

get the dreaimg.nbh file, flash it, then reroot your phone from rc29. there are many links to this file here and all over the net. im kinda sleepy. anyway, put the file on your sd card. power your phone off. power on pressing the camera and power buttons at the same time. proceed to update. youll be an stock android build rc29. proceed to follow the link in my sig to root your phone from there and install cyanogenmod. good night and good luck

all the doco's I read said you needed the rainbow colored screen and I was gettin' the skateboard androids.

I have now followed the instructions and have the latest cyanogen version.

I hope you had a good rest last night..
I knew there would be some help I was not following.
