Rambo

It opened earlier today in the U.S.. I wasn't going to see it but I was given a free ticket so I figured "what the heck". I wasn't expecting much but the movie turned out better than I thought it would be. It's extremely short though - about 80 minutes long.

And it's very, very violent. I'm honestly amazed that it only got an "R" rating. The violence is seriously vicious. Decapitations, chopped limbs, bullets & bombs that turn bodies into bloody pulps, etc. This isn't the Rambo I remember from the 1980s. :D

Sylvester Stallone looks older (well it's been 20 years!) and a little heavier. To be honest, I liked the way he looked in this film than in previous Rambo movies (which I'm not a fan of anyway).

Love the Rambo films in general, Part 2 is the best one though. Part 1 is quite comedy with him killing loaRAB of cops and shouting "BUT I DIDNT DO ANYTHING!!"

Rambos 2&3 are rubbish.

First Blood is a good film that tries to make a point, based as it is on Morrell's original 1972 novel.

I don't recall him killing any cops in Rambo 1. He just wounded a bunch of 'em. I think the only cop who got killed was the one in the helicopter (I don't think Rambo killed him either. Didn't he fall out of a helicopter?). I might be wrong. I haven't seen the first movie in years. :)

Im not sure about that but he did kill a cop, well I would class causing a helicopter to lose control with a cop falling out intentionally trying to cause some harm wouldnt you?

I went to see First Blood twice when it came out at the cinema but until this latest film was announced I didn't know there'd been a Rambo 2 & 3!:o

The trailers I've seen look pretty violent though I'll go and see it anyway.
