Honeslty I think its rubbish. Ive never been into it.

But many people here love it.
Rose- ur an urdu speaker?
Amallay- Lol, Id have to agree

i don't like it or hate it but my friend thinks it's garbage... she said you could write down anything and people would give meaning to it... for example, if i write down "red" someone analyzing it would say that i'm angry and filled with rage

I think poetry is one of the elements of man kind
I think its finder then the finest wine
I hope you open your eyes so you can see
the beauty of poetry
I personally am from a country
where people were known for their literature
but when i compare my self to them im a amateur
But i think this answers your question
Im sorry i gave u a long answer it wasnt my intention
o i forgot to mention
Poetry is great!

It's gay. Except for the one Joseph wrote, that was just really sad. But over all I don't like the poetry, especially love poems. My two least favorite poets are Edgar Allen Poe, and Emily Dickinson. I despise them. I really do.

I take it back, it's not gay, but I still don't like it lol

I love poetry.

"Ubayy ibn Ka'b mentioned that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "There is some wisdom in poetry."
[Bukhari]

Shurayh said, "I ask 'A'isha, may Allah be pleased her with, 'Did the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, recite any poetry?' She said, 'He used to recite some of the poetry of 'Abdullah ibn Rawaha:
'Someone to whom you have not given provision brings you news.'
[Bukhari]

Ash-Sharid said, "The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, asked me to recite the poetry of Umayya ibn Abi's-Salt and I recited it. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, began to say, 'Go on, go on!' until I had recited a hundred lines.' The Prophet said, 'If only he had become Muslim.'"
[Bukhari]
