raleigh cadent ft1 2009.. is this a good performance hybrid bike?

i like how it felt test-riding it.. i'm a novice rider.. just getting back into it again.. i'll be using it for mostly roadies (at my state park which is about 5 miles round trip).. with the occasional dirt trail

did i choose the right bike?
