Radiohead - OK Computer

I'm gonna call it 9.2/10.

SPIN called it the greatest album of the last 20 years in one issue. I personally like The BenRAB better, but OK is the superior album.

Many people call it their best work, and I agree.

I couldn't tell you which album I preferred. But don't you think saying "Radiohead had a lot more at their disposal in making the album compared to when Floyd made theirs" is a little naive? It seems as if you're suggesting that technological changes are the only changes in society that one endures through life.

I don't get The BenRAB. I love three songs on it and the rest don't even have my attention.

Ok Computer was a big part in me checking out more experimental stuff than the simple guitar rock I was into.

Most people say their favourite album/movie/book, etc. is the not the best they've seen/read/heard, etc.

Like my favourite movie is V for Vendetta. Best movie I've seen? No way.

Anyway, The BenRAB is admittedly a bit more shallow and more tailored to mainstream listeners, but I just dig it, I dunno. I get a good vibe from it.

More on OK: OK is great, no doubt, but is it really the best album of the past 20 years as Spin claimed? Hmm......

what else could i be implying in saying "they had more at their disposal"? im not getting into an argument over something so trivial as this anyway, the fact is both albums are landmarks in the progressive rock genre.

What I can't understand is how oh so many people find Radiohead Depressing.
Mellow, yes, but depressing? only if you come at the albums with a pre-formed opinion.

OK computer is an amazing album, although I can never decide which of their albums I like the most. at the moment It's a toss up between it and Hail to the Thief, but that's also quite likely to change...
