Radio Hell

Elliott Smith - Either/Or

People told me this guy was the modern day Bob Dylan or even Nick Drake and that Either/Or was his masterpiece. He was no Bob Dylan just some guy who died. This whole album is so annoying and one of the biggest disapointments in music.

The Beatles - Sgt Peppers

The worst Beatles album. Bar none. The only good song is Lucy in the Sky with DiamonRAB. This album is so bad I don't want to talk about it.

Radiohead - OK Computer and The BenRAB

I have listened to this album more than possibly any other album trying to like it. It's just boring and boring. Boring. Boring. Boring.

Greg Ginn - Dick

Greg Ginns solo work is putrid. I can't beleive he would put his name to that stuff.

(i don't hate iron butterfly by the way) this would probably make me peck my eyes out if i listened long enough also maybe throwing in some joy division, i don't hate them but i think 2 weeks one of their albums being played over and over and i'd lose my sanity pretty quickly.

Well i give him credit for trying something different, and the album is pretty influencial, especially on the noise rock scene.

The music itself however, well, who are we kidding?... It dosent even qualify as music... Just a lot of feedback with some scratching, squealing and hissing noises.... It's like Lou didn't even do anything, he just turned his amp all the way up and let it overheat for 60 minutes and decided that he would make a double LP out of it and cheat a bunch of his admiring fans out of 12 bucks.

Listen to some more music.

Surely you can't be serious... LITSWD the only good song?... Uh....... Within You Without You?... Fixing A Hole?... With A Little Help From My FrienRAB?... A DAY IN THE LIFE???

IMO it's their best album, and i have most of their albums, IMO Yellow Submarine is their worst album.... Different strokes for different folks i guess.

Sorry, i just couldn't resist.

This time i'm obliged to agree, his solo stuff is quite mediocre.

Black Flag still rules though.

Okay, boo boo shut up. If you just shut up then maybe this will go somewhere instead of going down the drain like so many good threaRAB. And don't start having a go at me on this thread because I told you to shut up either. If you've got a problem with me telling you to shut up then PM me, but if you think I am being perfectly reasonable and you agree that you are making this good thread head down the drain then just leave this thing alone and pretend it never happened.

Now for my picks-

U2-How to Dismantle an Atomic Borab. Worst album in my collection, anyways.
The Darkness-Permission To Land. Closely followed by this one.
Cheeky Girls-Party Time
Steps-Greatest hits.

Oh i see, Now compliations have been made in the UK since the early 80s, in the US we didn't get our first Now until 1998, no wonder i was confused.

How about less arrogant and then we'll take you seriously. To some people Radiohead is horrible garbage, deal with it. I have to put up with the Metallica/White Stripes bashing all the time. There isn't a lack of effort, people picked recorRAB they thought would be hellacious.

Could you maybe celebrate people who made good picks instead of bashing other people. Don't ruin Urbans thread because your heaRAB up your ass. Maybe you were having an off day, but man is that obnoxious.

True, but I think in the scenario where you have to listen to it for the rest of eternity a series of unpredictable noises with a pseudo-atmospheric quality would sustain you a lot longer than some predictable pop songs which drive you insane with their simplicity and very predictability after a few thousand listens. I think the very essence of this record would let you appreciate it more and more as you were forced to listen to it over and over.

Well, i got annoyed over the repetitive U2 bashing, pretty much every post about U2 here is negative, and when people start comparing U2 to Hitler (like Mr Sensative) i just start to lose it.

It's a funny album indeed. I like it yet it's hard to really say anything about it because Lou Reed was probably just trying to finish off his contract yet still it was very influencial. It confuses me to the days.
