Radio for road king

Hey everyone, I'm thinking of putting a radio on my RKC and would like some input on what "sounds good". Have the ipod but want some good sounding speakers. And yes I have done a search on here with little luck. Thnx in advance for your time and input!!

another option i have seen and have considered is adding the leg warmers, and putting speakers in those. can fit a 5 3/4 or 6 1/2 in those, can't remember which. the real problem comes with putting the receiver in the bags and the amp. takes up a lot of space, and makes long rides difficult.

I have been looking at these also. Do they seem have any bass coming out of them? I have heard they sound better than the stock HD fairing setup. Do you find that to be true?

OP - I have been noticing these on other bikes. They look really good and don't take up any room. There is an "Ultra" package that probably does have some juice to it. I have also been reading on some called cycle sounds altough the rumblers seem they would sound better.

I'll pay attention to this thread as I got to do something. These long solo rides are making me crazy, talking to myself and singing the same song over and over ....

Oh yeah, your Avatar. I think that's Dolly Dearest or Bride of Chuckie or something. My daughter saw it when she was like 10 and would not go to bed normally for about a month .. lol.

Mine sound better and get louder than a buddy of mine's new road glide.Yes,the bass is great. They come with a harness that plugs into your Ipod or whatever you use that uses a 3.5 jack.I am installing xm this weekend and running it through them.It ought to sound great.

wonder how just those 2 speakers would sound at highway speed? can you hear them at all? i know guys that have 2 6X9's in each bag, 6 1/2's in leg warmers and 4's with tweetters in the faring, and still say they can't hear the music at highway speed.
