R ice cream boardflip 1s supposed to feel like foam?

IDK i bought a pair of ice cream board flip 1s at finishline and the part between the upper part of the shoe and the gum of the shoe feels like foam.

I'd like to think they're not fake because got em at finishline but u never know. is anyone elses ice cream boardflips like that?
