First, Bernie Mac, now Isaac Hayes. The world is losing some of the most talented performers in history. I definitely remember him as Chef on South Park, but I also remember him as Gandolph Fitch on NBC's The Rockford Files. He used to call P.I. Jim Rockford(James Garner) "Rockfish", instead of identifying him by his proper name(Jim Rockford: "...and get off that 'Rockfish' stuff. The name is RockFORD!"). I also remember Isaac Hayes on The A-Team, when he played a man wrongfully imprisoned and also opened for the late Rick James at a concert at a Los Angeles-area theater. In that very same episode, B.A. Baracus(Mr. T) convinced him he needs to continue doing what he does best, namely perform. Nonetheless, Isaac Hayes was a tremendous talent and he will be missed. In addition to reruns of South Park, at least he'll also live on through his no. 1 song from 1971, "Theme from Shaft", as long as radio stations continue playing it.
