I'm currently studying "The Hanging Garden" by Ian Rankin, the 9th novel in the Rebus series. I am reading and analyzing this for my personal study in Higher English. However after reading it i have failed to come up with a topic question on which to base my essay, i.e "How the theme of...affects characters..." or something like that (setting, characterisation, imagagery, theme). I also need quotes to accompany the question in order to write a successful essay for my NAB.
