Interesting quote as it shows wisdom and ignorance at the same time.

Neither capital punishment, nor charity will ever be a "cure" as it is not possible to "cure" reality. Crime is a given simply because of human nature and the death penalty is a deterrent, not a cure. On the opposite end of the spectrum, charity is a good thing, but also enables poverty to continue as charity evolves into entitlement.

So, truly are wrong as "cures", but both serve useful functions as well.

I don't know about that, but I'll bet that if you could ask someone who's been put to death for murdering another human being if it was worth it or not, my guess would be that he would say ' no '.
