its floating upside down but is still breathing! every time i poke it, it gets it moving again but then floats to the top and goes upside down just breathing lightly
 
there is no cure. cover the tank and leave it. sometimes they can correct this behavior on their own. u'll have to wait to find out
 
Are the scales poking out?? If so, this is dropsy. There is medications out there, but fish rarely survive such a disease. Run to Petsmart, get some medication, and see how it does in the morning.
 
you can't do anything, its going to die.. do it a favor, put it in a bag, then hit its head with a hammer to put it out of its misery

If he looks like hes suffering do like me. Fire cracker in the mouth and light it. It blows the head off instantly no pain.

Eat him if he dies that way he be with you for ever.

unfortunately, these are symptoms of a "dying fish" and the chances of it living are 1-20%

if you have freshwater tank, i suggest you do a 20% water change asap.
Are the other fish sick too? Even if they dont have symptoms, they can catch it from the water their in.

The best thing is to turn your fish tank light off... leave the temp. its supposed to be, and allow to see what happens.

I am imagining its in a fish "tank" and not a bowl.

Also, the guy who posted about dropsy may be right. I know this product Called TANK BUDDIES "fungus clear" and it will remove dropsy, fin rot, mouth rot, and such things. its 3.24 at your local walmart
