Quickfire phone PUK code?

I recently just got the Quickfire phone from AT&T. When I was playing around with some of the settings in the security's I hit a button that will not allow me to access my phone.

The words read are my phone are:

ENTER VERIFACATION NUMBER.
PUK1

please help me.I tried calling the AT&T help service but they are closed Saturday and Sunday.

I NEED TO KNOW IMMiDEATLY HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEMMM....SORRY I DO NOT MEAN TO GET BOSSY WITH ANYONE.I AM JUST SO NERVOUS.PLEASE HELP ME!! (:
 
You can visit the att wireless website and obtain the PUK for your phone. Just log in to your MyWireless account and click on the section about your phone and there will be a link you click to get the PUK. Just do NOT try and guess what it is, you enter it wrong 10 times and the phone will PERMANENTLY block the sim card.
 
ATT is not closed on weekends, I work for ATT as a CSR, We are open 24/7 364 days a weeks. Please Call 800-331-0500. The PUK code you are looking for as said before can be found in your Online Account Manager, Or by calling us.

As for the 10 times deal, It will be the SIM card that will be locked permently, and not the phone.
 
Yeah, I said it will lock the SIM card.

And I don't know who you work for, but when I was a CSR our call center closed at 8 on weekdays, but we quit getting calls at 7:30 usually, which is when the queue in the NE region closes.

edit:it closed at 8:30 EST but I live in the Central time zone.
 
90% of the time, AT&T is unable or refuses to provide the PUK code to customers. This is based off of my experiences with my family which have had both T-Mobile and AT&T.

Generally, you have to purchase a new SIM Card, before you even fry it...usually the PUK code required message means you have invalidly entered a passcode on the phone incorrectly so many times. Therefore, it locks the phone.

Also, Alana is correct. Generally, AT&T basic customer service closes by 9PM for each region. I don't believe anyone can access customer service beyond 9PM within their local timezone. Technical support may be open 24/7. AT&T generally closes at like 7PM or so on Sundays (I think Saturday's hours are normal). Most holidays AT&T is closed.
 
Tech actually closed before we did. I had a customer literally cuss me out one time, repeatedly asking me why we didn't have 24/7 technical support. It didn't make sense to me either but hey, I don't make the rules.

As for the PUK code, I never ever hesitated to give one to a customer. As long as their phone still asked for one I provided it. And if they had accidentally locked it permanently I would leave notes on their account so they could go to a COR store and get a new one for free. But unfortunately not everyone did customer service like I did.
 
OK, Think what you guys want, But I did have to work Both Thanksgiving and Christmas day, So I must have been working on other peoples account with a different company, But my paycheck says ATT. I do work till 1 AM (Eastern Time Zone) in the morning on most days, So yes it May be 9AM for there local time Zone, But I was told that there is someone to answer *611 at all times. Most depts. are closed on Holidays but just normal CSR's are there.

And as far as the PUK code goes, Also like Alana I have never turned someone away from getting a PUK, Actully turning them away can get you fired.
 
Well, I have never actually worked for a GSM wireless carrier which requires a PUK code. I am just going based of how my friends and family have been treated.

I know for a fact, in my region at least, AT&T is closed for Christmas and Thanksgiving all day...
 
Well one difference might be if you work for business care? I know that I tried calling customer care at one point before I got a FAN on my account and they closed at like 8 I believe. Now that I have the FAN and get routed to business care...the latest I ever called was like 11 and they were still open. Part might have to do with where you live and what region you support. Example: I live in Tennessee but my call center dealt with the Northeast region. So we closed at..crap I think 8:30 during the week but the queue for the NE closed at 8:30PM EST, being 7:30PM my time. So if you worked later than that you got overflow calls from central, mountain and pacific regions. Do you live in the pacific time zone?
 
Whew lots of finger pointing here... well I also work for At&t, my specific call center does close at 9pm, however if you call the 800 number and NOT 611 you will get tech support 24/7 whether you are business care or not...but the PUK is the easiest thing in the world to get. You can get it yourself online anytime...its unlock codes that no carrier likes to give out, PUK is nothing to give out, I've never turned anyone down for one nor heard about anyone else having problems.

Putting a sim lock on your phone is just stupid-- 9/10 times you end up messing up the phone yourself rather than if its stolen which is the intended purpose. The PUK is dependent on the imei of the phone and there is no universal code to just give out. Best advice, if you don't know what its for, don't mess with it. I'm tired of people messing up their text messenger center number, their voicemail retrieval number and then calling and cussing me out because THEY messed up their settings.

This is one of the childish posts I've read so far on here, no one is any better than another no matter who you work for, so let it go.
