I dont know where to begin but i really need help =\

To start, the car is a 1999 Acura Integra LS Auto 2DR

I bought it pretty messed up but cleaned it up nice...now the main problem is the wiring...

all the audio wires were in place when i bought the car but now i just dont get it what he did!

i dont know to much but i know enough about car audio...

1. theres 2 sets of the RED/BLK AV cables [dont know the right name] and my head unit has 2 sets also i know one pair goes to the amp...what about the other?

2. he has the front and rear speakers connected to the head unit...dont i have to rewire it to the amp?

3. where is the best place to mount the amp? and which wire do i connect the remote amp wire to? the blue? or blue with white line[negative] or both?

4. would i need a certain gauge wire for a 1500watt amp or 2 12" kickers that max at 800w each or do i need a certain gauge for my speakers?

5. i just removed my antenna to replace the mast and i reconnected it but ever is my head unit has been acting retarded...most no sound at all...even with CDs...and you play with the unit and after a while you'll get sound for a few and its dead lol...

thanks...

1) On the back of the Deck, there should be two whites and reds. The RCA's go into one of the sets. Don't worry about the other set.

2) all speakers have certain wires from the Deck wires (harness) and the wires from the car. nothing with speakers have to be to the amp, unless your amping them. If amping door speakers, get a seperate amp, but i wouldn't worry about amping them.

3) best place to mount amp is in a spot where it won't have much heat and lots of air to cool down and "Breathe". I usually leave mine ontop of the sub box.
The remote wire goes to the blue wire, even if its hooked with the blue/white wire it should still be ok.

4) Best wiring is 0 gauge. I use 4 gauge which is also very good, but 0 is thee best.

5) Are the wires hooked up right on the back of the deck? Also make sure the ends are taped up with electrical tape so they dont mess with eachother.

hope that helped most your probs and good luck !
