Quick Question - MyBackup

It is available on the messager. You have to download it from the app store on your phone. Of course it has to be added to your account first.

You can also try chaging the brew code to make it think its a different phone for example the v9m and see if you can see it, also enable test for brew and check it out.

How shortly after that?

I tried it right now. *228. Went to "Games and Apps". Nada. Nothing.

I called CS and they told it worked on the Messager. "Look under features or go through your phone web browser to download it." I looked and nothing. :reallysad

I have the exact same problems. Have r450 messagers on both my lines. I called today to add mybackup and they said well, the feature code is available on one line but not the other. I explained I have identical phones, identical $50 plans...why would it not show on one but the other. They sent me to technical support. Tech said hmmmm....I'll add in manually....told me to *228 both phones and wait a little while. 4 hours later nothing on either. go to games and apps....try searching for data, backup, mybackup etc. Can't see the feature? Can anyone on here that can look at feature codes, look and see if its added correctly to my two accounts. I've called care and technical support and they both say "hmmmm....its added" Any help is appreciated. Jason

After my OP, I went to the corporate store. The staff person couldn't resolve it. She went to the more techie staff in her group. Nope, couldn't resolve it. They called CS. Nope couldn't resolve it. She IM'ed someone in the staff and they couldn't resolve it. So. I gave up. I'll try it once they find a solution or someone here finRAB the solution.

That is so frustrating. It seems reading on here that Cricket's service is great...but I have never had a good experience with their customer support (directly from Cricket). If they get this under their belt they will be a quality company. Today on one of my calls to CS, she had to put me on hold and phone conference a supervisor. She accidently unmuted me and I got to listen to their phone call. She identified herself and told the supervisor the problem. She ended by saying to the supervisor..sorry I am only a week old agent. The supervisor responded by saying no problem, I have only been here 2 months myself. They sounded like a calamity of errors trying to figure it out. I just listened quietly. I admit the agent then came back to me (actually I never left) and was honest in saying...we can't figure it out and then I got transfered to the technical support who couldn't figure it out either. Having said that....we are only small fries in a big deep fryer...we'll never get noticed. And the only real support I've ever really gotten is from independent reps or owners on this site who looked things up and helped me with other issues such as: payments not being credited, invoices not representing proper charges, bills changing monthly, not being able to make calls with premium extended roaming, excess roaming charges, not being able to retrieve voicemails, automatic payments not being processed and lines being disconnected, and now mybackup not working (i might have also forgot something....i'll post if I remeraber). You would think that someone who has only been a customer for 3 months and who has had my problems might be able to get someone attention...again not going to happen because of being a small fry.

I am in Beaumont, Texas 77707 Zip (tri-band). In the past with other providers, apps could be "pushed" to the phone. I wasn't sure if this could be done with cricket or not. I just can't see the app. My phones came from two different places in the US though. And it was weird that the feature set was available for CS to add on one line and technical support had to enter them manually on the other? Of course neither is showing up.

huh? Let me see if I'm explaining it wrong. As far as i'm aware when I at mycricket.com it can/will display the wrong phone type and that has little to no affect on data backup

Ignore the razr2, heck it could have said v9m, point is it didn't register it has the correct phone model.. I remeraber that because I thought that would matter and got it working thru the way I listed above without changing/updating the phone type

Again, its showing my phone as a Motorola ROKR, but I'm actually using a Razr2

You chage the platform of the phone model on the brew side, this has nothing to do with the model of the phone you acutlly have or what cricket sees, this will change what is shown in cricket clicks.
