Quick noob question. Can the LG voyager be FULLY flashed to cricket?

Im REALLY interested in this phone. Possibly picking one up this week, my verizon contract expires in a few weeks and will be going with cricket.

Also, can someone enlighten me on problems with a phone after it has been flashed? like the txt suddenly not working or something?
