Quick News for Palm OS? v.1.22

I have been having problems with Avantgo lately. It wont accept my password and keeps telling me to resync to download content, yet nothing gets downloaded.
Since I am a news junkie, I decided to try Quick news. I got all of my feeds setup and resynced to download the content and nothing. I manually have to turn on WIFI and sync the content that way. I have all of the feeds setup to get the content via hotsync.

Anyone else had any experience with this?

Hmmm, I've never tried Quick News for Palm, but I also have a T|X, and AvantGo works flawlessly for me ... although earlier I did have some issues with configuration (because I also have a Pocket PC that syncs from the same computer).

Anyways, when did AvantGo start rejecting your password?? Like did you stop using your account for a while? Because I'm thinking that your account may be terminated for some reason or another. You should try signing up for another a new AvantGo account - last time I checked, they are still free ... well, they haven't sent any bills to me yet!

I'm not sure if you're aware, but on your computer, there is an AvantGo Client - go to Start > Programs > AvantGo Client and then click on AvantGo Connect. You can muck around with the account settings my selecting properties on this screen ... If all else fails, just do a clean install of AvantGo ... i.e. Delete it from both your computer and Palm T|X, and then re-install the latest AvantGo and establish a new AvantGo account ...

Hope this helps! :)

Avantgo stopped working on Monday. I use it everyday so I dont think that was an issue. Went to sign up last night for another account but I didnt feel like answering all of those questions.

Here is what I found with quick news. Once I moved it from the SD card to internal memory, everything works great. It downloads the content during a hotsync.

Not sure why, but it is working.

I used to have Avantgo, but since QN, I never look back. I did encounter the same issue where I had to update the feeds manually. But, I went and read the manual and found out how to update the feed on auto.

On QN, go to the Available Feeds screen, select Set All then choose Update at Hotsync.

That should work.

I use Quicknews and have no problem syncing using WiFi. Originally, I had problems with MY RSS feed but I got that straightened out.

Are you updating QN with WiFi or with Hotsync? If hotsync, it might be the contuit. If WiFi, check your connection.

Keep on posting with more info and I'll try to help if it still doesn't work. I really like QN.
