On my BMX bike, the bottom bracket seems pretty loose. Around the crank the bolt it like loose and the whole area around there seems pretty loose. I tightened it but I don't know if it will stay. Would I bike shop be able to tighten it with a bolt compressor or something, and how much would this cost?

It depends on the bike shop and when they look at it what they say. They may have to leave it in to have other people take a look at it. It will cost you anywhere from 5-15 dollars just to leave it in even if they don't get it fixed, some bike shops are more generous.

If you go to a actual BMX one that sells only street bikes they tend to be a little street treating where they don't show respect and rob you like teenage skaters and bikers.

If they get it fixed it will cost the same. If they give you a call they will tell you the problem saying they can or can't fix it. But if they can it usually will cost extra otherwise you wouldn't get that call.

Like I said it depends on the retail or shop. You may be able to contact the brand and tell them you want to send it in but that's a lot of work and you WILL have to pay shipping either way.

Good luck,

Just bring it to the bike shop. It should have a second nut to hold the tension. It shouldn't be too expensive unless they need to replace the crank. They may even be able to replace the secondary nut if they stock them...Good luck..
