Questions on a blackberry?

I have a lot of questions, If you go to Verisons website to get a blackberry it says with a 2 year contract, I already have Verison, I just want a new phone, is there any way to get around this? If not there is a different model that they sell at walmart but its in Tmobile, can I get my phone under verizon even though it says Tmobile? What is a two year contract? Thanks
