questions about upgrading

I'm currently using a T-Mobile 8100 on unlimited BIS and messaging plan. However I've been wanting to upgrade to one of the Curve (If I decide to not upgrade to kickstart or one of the newer BB coming out though) and if I tried to upgrade thru t-mobile, it would cost me some serious cash. the last time I asked about it, I would've had to pay about $200 and extend my contract again.

however, I've just looked around on the blackberry.com site and saw their trade up page. seems like I could get the exact curve that I want for only like ~$52. But would the new curve work on t-mobile or is there something I should know about doing something like this?

I'm very low on money for now so I'm not entirely sure if I could afford to upgrade unless it is as cheap as it seemed to be on the blackberry.com site.

Where did you se a trade up page that might be worth looking at lol.
I would imagine that if it was coming straight from RIM it would be unlocked

I think you are confused. I went to the BlackBerry Trade Up page and it looks like it says they will give you $52.00 credit for a 8100 on an 8320 purchase. Any Curve will work on T Mobile provided it is unlocked. All you need to do is pop your SIM card in.

I went to the site and found a separate linkt hat goes straight to the tradeup site,

beamolite, thanks for pointing that out. I've just looked it up and saw that I've missed the fact that it didn't show me the curve price.

I just wish that it would be cheaper to upgrade so I could afford the better phone (don't get me wrong, the Pearl is great but I want something a little more stronger and have wifi to pair with a bluetooth GPS)

I had a Pearl before and it was an awesome phone. I sent it to my brother in law in Mexico. Now I have a Curve 8320 and it is much better than the Pearl all the way around. I think after T-Mobile releases the Javelin they will lower the price substantially on the Curve.

How long have you been with them? I was not due for an upgrade for a like 5 more months but they just sent me the sunset curve for 150. I told them my pearl was acting up and I really love tmobile but I needed a new blackberry. I kinda threw in a I will take my lines to verizon to get the phone I want without having to pay 399 for it. Its called premier pricing. I didn't even have to pay the upgrade fee.I love tmobile. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

been with them since the end of dec 2007, though I've had been a few days late paying for most of my phone bills (due to the timing of the checks).

How I might find out if I'm qualified for a free upgrade or some discount that I've heard of around here?
