I just saw the movie but it left some unanswered questions. Please, if you've seen/understand the movie, answer these questions:
1). How does Danielle's father own land if he's not of noble blood? was he rich? Why is last name "de Barbarac" when "de" was part of noble/rich peoples' last names?
2). Was Danielle rich when she was little? (the Baroness says Danielle's NOT of noble blood nor was her mom a comtesse!). If so, then how come nobody knows who her family is?
3). Why doesn't Danielle just tell Prince Henry that she used to be rich but her evil stepmom forced her into servitude?
4). Is the Baroness Rhodmilla de Ghent related (part of the royal family) to the king and queen of France? If so, then why does the Queen says that the Baroness is part of "the House of Ghent?" Where are the rest of these people of that Royal House (who are they related to)?
5). Is (or was) the Baroness and her family rich?
6). How did Danielle's dad score a Baroness?
7. Why did the Baroness marry a commoner who was not of noble blood (Danielle's dad)?
Perhaps some of these questions are unanserable, but if you have some kind of knowledege of 15th century nobility/class titles, then perhaps you can answer them. Or just use your imagination!
