I'm young, And I'm planning on Joining the Canadian Army, No, I'm not a dumb kid, I truly believe the experience will be good for me, and even if it does come down to me being deployed, I'll Gladly serve in Afghanistan, I truly believe that we're doing something good there, and we're making a difference...
Anyway, I have a few questions, and I can't seem to find answers
Firstly, how is your branch chosen? I want to just be normal infantry, do I choose that, or am I assigned to what ever is needed? and while in training, do they see what role I excel in, and make me specialize in that, or do I choose? Because I'm 11, and I'm down at the range practicing all the time, and I'm not too shabby at hitting a target 700 meters out, I can make 8 inch groups, which isn't the best, but I'm trying to improve... I really couldn't see myself running around city with an assult rifle, I can see myself waiting up in a position for several days until I have my chance to engage..
Many family members tell me stories and explain there experiences with me, but since I took interest, they don't like the idea of me joining, and wont answer any questions
