Questions about the $30 x3 plan

1) What does the "x3" mean? Or what's the catch?

2) Can I add unlimited web access to this plan? For $5?

3) Is web available in roaming area? How much is roaming charges?

4) What's long distance? To different area code or to another calling area? My Cricket calling area covers two area codes, 541 and 503; will it be long distance between 541 and 503?

Thank you!

1) The only catach is that you must use ABP for the entire time your using the X3 plan. You can't just walk into the store and then pay via cash. It requires ABP which uses either a Credit card, Check or debt card.

2) You may add it for 5.00 (So yes)

3) I'm not sure, I would think so though.

4) "Not Applicable" (i.e Not Available)

Looking at this, I think you'd be better off just getting the 40.00 Plan. Your going to be paying 30.00 + 5.00 per month but with the X3 you won't get Long Distance, Which you will with the 40.00. So for 10.00 more you get Unlimited data and unlimited long distance (Which even on the 35.00 you won't get, I'm not too sure about what the cost of Long distance is either. I don't worry with the 50.00 plan i'm on :clapping: )

3) NO. MMS and WAP browsing are never available when roaming. SMS is available sometimes. There are different roaming options depending on your home market. however most likely you are looking at $5/30 minutes, $10/70 minutes, $15/120 minutes with anything over your bucket billing at $0.39/minute out of your flex bucket

4) Local calls are calls terminating within your local cricket coverage area. long distance are calls terminating outside that area. this is independant of area code. In the california central valley coverage area there are two local area codes. eg: 559 in south valley and 209 in the north. BUT Not all 559 or 209 nurabers are considered local, some of them terminate outside of the cricket coverage area.
Long distance calls on plans that do not include long distance (ie: 30,35) are billed at $0.08/minute out of your flex bucket, or all the ILD (international plans) minutes can be use for US Long distance calls. This is currently more than $0.08 per minute except the $5/100 minutes plan which breaks down to.... $0.05 per minute.

Thank you very much!

I don't see that unlimited web is included in the $40 plan, otherwise I'll sure go for it.

We seldom call long distance, as long as the local calling is like what simple3 described, it is perfect. When we do need to call long distance, we use calling carRAB and even $0.08/min is very good.

i you dont need US LD, then I think the 30 will be good for you. $30 + $5 for WAP +$3 to get Caller ID and Call waiting (if you want it) and your still at under $40 a month. well i guess it depenRAB how much roaming you want.

@Cooden: even if he adRAB $3 Voice features he's saving $12 a month v. the $50 plan. that's almost 150 a year. I wish i could shave $12 a month off my t-mobile bill and still keep all the features i want.

A single $15 is not much, but don't forget how many monthly bills: cell phones, cable, satellite, RABl, web hosting, email hosting... oh, water, gas, electricity, garbage, home association...
