i just got my first nokia, i was using moto and SE before. anyways i love the phone but cant seem to find some key features.

1. how can i activate an auto keylock.

2. how do i customise a shoftcut menu that has my most used funtions and apps, then i can set it to one of the soft keys

3. how can i set up my text message inbox/outbox to auto clean after even certain number of days.

all of these were possible wiht my motorola, i just want to know how to do this with nokia.

thanks

1) Auto keylock is not a standard feature on Nokia S60 phones. You can install free or commercial third-party S60 apps to do it.

2) I don't have a 6670 with me but you can try something like: Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Standby mode. Then you can change either soft key to be "Go to". Then add your favourite apps to "Go to".

3) There isn't an auto-clean option for the messaging app. Maybe a third-party app can add this feature for you.

thanks for your help, but as for the go to menu it seems the features that i want to add to 'go to' care not allowed. for example when i want to add clock, or text message templates by pressing options the "add to 'go to'" choice is not there.

also i know that the sound output on the 6670 is mono, but i came across these bluetooth headphones. I assume i dont need the little reciever since the phone already has bluetooth.

would these work with the phone in stereo sound. also what is the maximum i can expand the memory? if i can do 2 - 4 gb, maybe this little thing can replace my busted ipod mini.

thanks

Adding a wired stereo headset or stereo BT headphones will not get you true stereo sound from the 6670. Probably the best you'll get is dual-mono. I don't think that the 6670 hardware is capable of outputting stereo sound. For that you'd need something like a 6682, or N-Series.

You can put 2 GB memory cards into most N-Series phones. There's the N91 with 8 GB hard drive too. Too bad Fido-Rogers doesn't offer many new Series 60 models.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it already, the Nokia website lists some of the features for the 6670.

for the softkey reprogramming and the autolock get a program called smart settings it has an autolock feature as well as turns your left softkey into a popup menu sort of like a start menu in windows - as far as i could tell it was able to put near anything into the menu
