First of all let me say that this guy is a sick freak and ANYONE who would rape, molest or harm another human being like this is the very definition of evil!
Okay, this case has sparked my interest like many of you. But there are some things I would like to know.
1) Who found Elisabeth in the cellar? And how was she found etc?
2) How did the mother 'not know' what was going on? And where did she think her daughter disappeared to for 24 years?!
3) Wouldn't their children(other then the one who died) have had serious health issue due to incest?
I am reading a newspaper dumbass but it's not helping!

i knooow!
i don't have answers to these questions.. as I'm not sure anyone really knows the truth other than the Fritlz family.
i also wonder why Elizabeth wouldn't try to escape at all..or have one of her children escape seeing as how Josef "loved" them.
this story is sick though.
Josef is absolutely disgusting.

1 she got ill and he took her for medical attention.
2. the mother was told by him that she ran off- the children that lived upstairs were said to have been dumped by her
3. not neccessarly, or certain things could become apparant in later life.

I think she escaped the cellar, and she had been reported missing, and yeah, one of the kids was in a coma, one died and I don't know what else. The news hasn't explained much, either that or I've totally blanked when I've heard about it out of any ethics or morals.

1, Joseph reported it as one of the children was ill
2. I have no idea - Joseph said that she had disappeard but left some of her children for them to look after.
3. I would think so - and the fact that they haven't seen daylight for most of their lives wouldn't help either.

Hi There

No one found Elisabeth in the cellar, one of the children became ill and Fritzel let Elisabeth and the child go to hospital for treatment, it was then that the whole story came out.

Fritzels wife:- now that is strange, after over 3000 episodes of rape, did the wife not notice anything strange when the husband returned, did she not question his absence, did she not see evidence of the rape on his clothes, did she not wonder why he showed little or no sexual interest in his wife etc etc etc, She has a lot of questions to answer.

Yes I believe the children may be affected by the inter breeding of this relationship. It would be very unfortunate for the innocent children but it is a possibility.

1) They didn't find Elisabeth until her 19 y.o. daugher (with Fritz, her father) developed a health issue and had to go to the hospital. Doctors got skeptical and then investigated.
2)Josef said that Elisabeth had 'dropped the kids off' (or some of them). Apparently Elisabeth's mother never asked where Elisabeth had gone.
3)Inbreeding/Incest doesn't result in deformation until two or three repeated generations of incest.
