Questions about Camp Pendleton, MCT graduation?

If no none helps out, I would suggest you google soi graduation...or boot camp gradutation...for usmc...there should be some websites that will give you informaition for the area.

We went to mct grad for our son, and we stayed on base...I would make reservations now..as it books up quickly. Pendelton is humogo...so you might consider driving and make sure you have gps...

You can also join Marine Moms/Spouses online...and they should be able to give you bunches of information. The Moms site has spots for wives also...and they can be very helpful.
 
So I'm going over to Camp Pendleton at the end of July to see my husband graduate from MCT, but I am SOOO unfamiliar with the area that I feel a bit lost.

Does anyone know what the closest lodging is to the SOI school? Are there places to stay at Pendleton? And what would be the easiest way to get around?

I'm debating between flying or driving. I live in Utah, so it's about a 1 day drive, but I'm scared of driving in the busy california cities. But if I fly I would have to pay for taxis and shuttles.

So if anyone lives at Pendleton and can give me some info that would be really great.
