Within the next month I have to make the decision of whether im going to join the Army Reserves or attend Community college next fall. I have already been and talked to a recruiter and have gotten as many details as i can from him but im looking for a more detailed description of what my AIT would be like. The MOS i would be choosing is 25b, Information Technology. Which from what I have found online this training takes place at Ft. Gordon Georgia, my question is what is the training like? Is it very structured and there isnt alot of down time? Not that I expect down time its the Army I'd expect to be pretty busy but can you have things like laptops or maybe a cell phone for personal time in the barracks or something? Ive read people saying that its really laid back and easy and other people say its hell and they hate it plus things are very overcrowded. I'm looking for a more recent description because I know that things change since the 2006 articles Ive found. Thanks!
